Anna Russell

Anna Cottingham Russell, 93, went to be with the Lord on February 6.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell, parents Thomas and Zola Newton Cottingham, brother Mahlon Cottingham, infant sister Ruth and “sister” June Russell Crowley.

Anna served in her church, Poole Missionary Baptist, teaching and working in WMU along with teaching in many areas. Anna was an active member of Diamond Homemakers Club. She had a strong devotion to her family.

Anna loved to travel visiting all 50 states and other countries. She enjoyed camping and spending time with family, keeping everyone well fed.

Survivors include daughter Debra Kramer (Bill) of Henderson, and son C Mark Russell (Cindy) of Huntsville, Al. Survivors also include grandchildren Jenny Walker, Katherine Moody, Megan Kramer, Matthew Russell, John Mark Russell and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY on Friday February 11th, 2022. Visitation is from 11 to 1. The memorial service will follow at 1pm. Rev. David Mabrey will officiate.

Pallbearers – John Mark Russell, Matthew Russell, Stuart Walker, Vince Moody, Tim Cottingham and Reggie Crowley.
