Betty Liggett

Betty Liggett 72, of Dixon, KY passed away at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN on Saturday December 8, 2018. She was a Certified Dental Assistant and had worked 28 years for Dr. Phillips and Dr. Warren Dental Offices in Providence, KY. She was a member of the Little Zion General Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. She loved her church, quilting, cooking, traveling, feeding her fish and especially loved her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her dad Vernon Sigler,stepmother Alma Sigler and stepfather Charles Hunley, 2 sisters Verna Marie Sigler and Margaret Ann Hunley and 1 brother Walter Hunley. Survivors include her husband of 55 years Dorris Liggett of Dixon, KY; 1 daughter Vicki Shadrick(Jamie) and 1 son Danny Liggett(Mandy) both of Dixon, KY; her mother Jessie Hunley of Morganfield, KY; 2 sisters Jeanette Johnson(Gary) of Henderson, KY and Dell Grant of Speedway, IN; 1 brother Paul Polley(Connie) of Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren Shelby Shadrick, Carly Shadrick, Campbell Liggett and Brennan Liggett and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Curt Yarbrough and Rev. John Brumfiel will officiate. Burial will be in Little Zion Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Monday at the funeral home and from 8am until service time on Tuesday.
