Chester Lee Duncan

Chester Lee Duncan 80, of Hanson, KY passed away on Tuesday December 17th, 2024 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. Chester was a lifelong Farmer, he enjoyed putting up Christmas lights each year and loved collecting pocket knives and clocks. Chester also loved to play jokes, pick and aggravate family and friends. He was the son of the late Ray L.(Dee) and Verlie Haleman Duncan. He was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Kuttler, a brother Carl Jean Duncan and a great grandson Sawyer Duncan. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Wanda Tapp Duncan of Hanson, KY; a daughter Karren(Danny) Gates of Hanson, KY; a son Jimmy(Tammy) Duncan of Hanson, KY; a sister Mary Sue(Robert) Winstead of Slaughters, KY; a Aunt Katheline Shew of Metropolis, IL; 6 grandchildren Tina(Elvis) Robinson, Randy(Hillary) Gates, Jennifer(Josh) Pruitt, Angie(Jamal) Combs, Kevin(Kayla) Duncan and Andrew(Faith) Duncan; 13 great grandchildren Lucas, Maya, Xavier, Callie, Hannah, Ellie, Sadie, Asher, Heaven, Olivia, Kevin Jr., Ayden and Weston and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday December 20th, 2024 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Dr. John Stachurski and Josh Pruitt will officiate. Burial will be in Hanson Cemetery in Hanson, KY. Friends may visit from 10am until service time at the funeral home on Friday.
