Curtis "StrawHat" Gentry

Curtis “Strawhat” Gentry 75, of Dixon, KY passed away at UL Hospital in Louisville, KY on Tuesday October 17^th, 2023. He was a truckdriver and had driven for several trucking companies in 43 years, but he retired from D & G Trucking in Henderson, KY. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Mary Lee Gentry. He was preceded in death by his wife Faye Wilson Gentry in 2019. Survivors include his daughter Tracy(Jon) Curry of Clay, KY; 2 sons Timmy(Michelle) Gentry of Newburgh, IN and Jason(Dana) Gentry of Haubstadt, IN; 1 sister Kelly(Brad) VanBussum of Corydon, KY; 3 brothers Jim(Bonita) Gentry, Kenny(Susan) Gentry and Clark Gentry all of Dixon, KY; 8 grandchildren Trevor(Sara) Gentry, Troy Gentry, Mitchell Gentry, Logan Gentry, Amy(Lucus) Grissom, Michael Seidel, Katie Seidel and Nathan Curry; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 23, 2023 at 12pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Dwayne Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden, KY. Visitation will be on Sunday October 22 from 4pm-8pm and from 8am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
