David W. Schafer Jr. 56 of Dixon, KY died at his home on April 2, 2014. He worked for Dapco Inc. in Dixon, KY. He attended church at Ship of Zion in Dixon. He loved coonhunting and riding his motorcycle. He was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Paula Schafer of Dixon, KY; three daughters Lisa Patno of Dixon, KY; Sarah Vos and Emily Neff both of Morganfield, KY; his father David W. Schafer Sr. and his wife Brenda of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his mother Mary Ann Dyson of Covington, KY; four brothers James Schafer of Cincinnati, OH; Jeffrey Schafer of Covington, KY; Scott Schafer of Cincinnati, OH and Cliff Schafer of Ft. Myers FL; 6 grandchildren Layla, Gillian, Summer, Markus, Warren and Mikhail; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 PM at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Clyde Vos will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden. Visitation will be from 3-8PM on Friday and from 10am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S.
