Dennis Ray Horning

Dennis Ray Horning 71, of Providence, KY passed away on Tuesday December 10th, 2024 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. Dennis was a retired Coal Miner having worked 26 years, starting with Robert’s Brother Coal and retired from Warrior Coal in Hopkins County. He was a US Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Dennis was of the Pentecostal faith and loved to target shoot and work outdoors with his hands. He was the son of the late Luther and Virginia Jones Horning. He was preceded in death by a sister Karen Dennis and a brother Frank Horning. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Juanita McVay Horning of Providence, KY; a son Jason Ray Horning and his fiancé Rebecca Braden of Clay, KY; a sister Jean Day of Princeton, KY; 3 grandchildren Jaxon Kane Horning, Carter Reed Horning and Heaven Lilianna Horning and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday December 13th, 2024 at Green Grove Cemetery in Providence, KY. Bro. William Earl will officiate.
