Eddie Blake

Eddie D. Blake 64, of Cairo, KY passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. He was of the Baptist Faith, he was in Car Sales for over 30 years, owned/operated a car repair shop, he owned/operated Blake’s Country Store in Cairo, KY since 1996. Eddie loved to cook Barbeque and loved to spend quality time with his family and feed them. He also loved to tinker in his garage. He was the son of the late Albert Owen and Ruby Wilson Blake. He was preceded in death by his sister Wanda Shipman. Survivors include his wife of 45 years Martha Blake of Cairo, KY; his daughter Lacheie Eblen of Cairo, KY; his son Lucas Blake of Henderson, KY; 6 grandchildren Jordan Duncan, Jacheie Blake, Tristan Blake, Blake Ellen Eblen, Trevor Lott and Owen Eblen; 1 great granddaughter Ally Duncan and 3 nieces. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Pastor John Choi and Rev. Dwayne Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Tuesday and from 8am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
