Ethel Watson

Ethel Clayton Watson 92, passed away at her home in Henderson, KY on Tuesday November 17, 2015. She was a member of the Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon, KY, she attended Airline Baptist Church in Henderson, KY. She served 2 terms as Webster County Clerk and also worked at Henderson Community College for 13 years as an Administrative Assistant. She had also worked at the Webster County Extension office, where she served on the 4-H council. She was a member of the Dixon B P & W Club, and she also loved gardening, and loved playing the piano and organ. She was devoted to her family from the oldest child to the youngest grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Noah Dixon Watson in 1968, and a son-in-law Don Carlisle in 2001. Survivors include her 2 daughters Donna Lakey and husband John of Newburgh, IN; Marilyn Carlisle Whitsell and husband Steven of Clay, KY; and 1 son Lowell Watson and wife Kathy Dunville Watson of Onton, KY; 5 grandchildren Rhonda Armstrong, Rodney Rhea, Ethan Watson, Amanda Woodall, and Patrick Carlisle; 9 great grand, Christian Armstrong, Zachary Rhea, Eva Rhea, Allison Watson, Meredith Watson, Katherine Woodall, Hank Woodall, Esther Carlisle and Emerson Carlisle; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday November 20, 2015 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Nathan Whisnant will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 3-8pm on Thursday and from 9am until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S.
