Frances Lambert Parrish 74, of Dixon, KY died on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was the daughter of the late William and Alma Matthews Lambert. She was retired from the USDA Farm Service Agency in Dixon, KY, she had also worked at the Production Credit Association and the Webster Co. PVA office. She was a member of the Free Union General Baptist Church in Dixon for over 40 years, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Song Leader and as the Church Clerk. She also was very active in the Free Union Women’s Missionary Society. She volunteered at Camp Clark in Dixon and also was active with the dance and exercise classes at the Senior Citizens Center in Dixon. Survivors include one daughter Venita Curry and her husband Rodney of Manitou, KY; one son Dennis Parrish and partner Vanessa Schmitt of Dixon, KY; two sisters Eva Tweddell of Madisonville, KY and Marie Vaughn of Clay, KY; three grandchildren Stacey and Stephanie Parrish, and Whitney Shemwell; two greatgrand Landon and Peyton Shemwell; one niece Debra Vaughn and one nephew Russell Tweddell. Services will be held at 11AM on Saturday August 18, 2012 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev Robert Woodring and Chaplain Pat Dew will officiate. Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery in Clay, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday and from 8am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
