Garland Whitledge

Garland Ray Whitledge, 75 of Dixon, KY died at his home on Tuesday October 23, 2012. He was retired from Accuride Corp. in Henderson, KY and also was a Land Surveyor for several years. He pastored several churches in Hopkins, Henderson and Crittenden counties thru the years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #911 and former member of the O.E.S. Eastern Star #382. He was a member of the Free Union General Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Sarah Ann Whitledge of Dixon, KY; 3 sons Keith Whitledge and his wife Judy of Dixon, KY; Danny Whitledge and his wife Alison of Providence, KY and Paul Whitledge and his wife Tara of Henderson, KY; 5 grandchildren Sarah Clary, Beth Oglesby, Emily Whitledge Brooks, Logan Whitledge and Macy Whitledge and 2 great grandchildren Caila and Cora Clary. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday October 26, 2012 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Robert Woodring and Rev. Wayne Nichols will officiate. Entombment will be in the Oddfellows Mausoleum in Clay, KY.  Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Thursday, where Masonic rites will be performed at 6pm.
