Glenda Rose James

Glenda Rose James 78, of Grand Rivers, KY passed away on Sunday September 24^th, 2023 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She attended Lake City Church of God in Grand Rivers, KY. Glenda worked for several years as the Director of Housekeeping at Union County Hospital in Morganfield, KY. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Glenda loved reading romance novels and listening to Conway Twitty music, she was not only a mother to her children but to many others in the community, Glenda always had a smile on her face. She was the daughter to the late Tifford and Edna Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her husband Dencial James, a granddaughter Cheslie Watkins Howell, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Survivors include her 3 daughters Kathy(Bubba) Brewer of Grand Rivers, KY; Jeana(Chad) Townsend of Dixon, KY; Rhonda(James) Adams of Sebree, KY; 2 sons Richard “Richie” Watkins of Grand Rivers, KY and Danny(Peggy) James of Providence, KY; 3 sisters Eltab Heater of Alton, IL; Norma Jean Ladd of Calvert City, KY and Brenda Rhodes Grand Rivers, KY; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 28^th, 2023 at 12pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Pastor Bill Lee will officiate. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Fredonia, KY.
