Homer Pharris Jr. 68 of Crofton, KY went to be with the Lord Monday June 15, 2015. He was a US Army veteran who proudly served his country. He also retired from Pepsi after 38 years. He had an unconditional love for his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were fishing and taking vacations to the Great Smoky Mountains. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He had such a huge sense of humor and had the philosophy that you couldn’t be serious all the time. You needed to laugh and have fun in life. He had a heart of gold as big as the whole world. There was not a better man than “Jr.”. We will forever have a hole in our hearts without him here. He was preceded in death by a brother C.W. Pharris and sisters Margie Williams and Jo Ann Mizell. He is survivied by his wife of 46 years Pam Thomas Pharris of Crofton, KY; 1 daughter Julie Pharris and 1 son Eric Pharris and his wife Connie both of Crofton, KY; 3 sisters Mary Lou Davis of Evansville, IN; Thelma Nichols and Mildred McClain both of Dixon, KY; 4 grandchildren. 3 step grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 2 step great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Townsend Funeral Home at 2pm on Saturday June 20, 2015. Bro Carl Hoover and Kevin Cole will officiate. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery in Dixon, KY.
