Iva Russell

Iva Russell 87, of Corydon, KY passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 25, 2024. She was of the Methodist faith and member of Little Dixie Methodist Church. She was a mother to many, who loved travel, concerts, gambling, her pets, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most would say she was the life of the party and family was everything to her. She was preceded in death by her husband John T. Russell and 1 daughter Kathy Bumpus. She is survived by 3 daughters Julie (Mike) DeFrancesco of Winter Springs, FL Ellen (Scott) Wilson of Poole, KY and Teria (Kevin) Mitchell of Corydon, KY; she raised her grandson Chad (Dawn) Russell of Henderson, KY as her own; 10 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; with several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later time. Townsend Funeral Home of Dixon, KY is in charge of handling the arrangements. Donations to St. Anthony's Hospice can be made at 2410 S.
