James Elmer Gardner Jr.

James Elmer Gardner Jr. 86, of Dixon, KY passed away on Sunday November 17th, 2024 at Redbank’s Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree, KY. James was a member of the Free Union General Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. James owned and operated the Gardner Brothers Sawmill and Gas Station in Dixon for many years along with his brothers. He was a US Army Veteran and loved hunting and fishing. James was the son of the late James Elmer Gardner Sr. and Ethel Pauline Gardner. Survivors include his brother Jesse(Beverly) Gardner of Dixon, KY; his niece Dianna(Keith) Rich of Clay, KY and nephew Jesse Jr.(Chris) Gardner of Oakland City, IN. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 19th, 2024 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Jimmy Sigler will officiate. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery in Dixon, KY.
