James E. Scott 72, of Slaughters, KY died on February 23, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was a lifelong Farmer and a devoted Husband, Dad and Papaw. He was a member of Pennyrile Church of Christ in Madisonville, KY and served on the NRCS Board for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife of 51 years Sarah Scott of Slaughters, KY; his mother Henrietta Scott of Slaughters, KY; two daughters Cindy Stubblefield and husband Ronny of Slaughters, KY; Shirley Hendrix and husband Steve of Clay, KY; one son Tim Scott and wife Jana of Slaughters, KY; one sister Glenda Scott of Chesterfield, MO.; one brother Mike Scott of Slaughters, KY.; 7 grandchildren Samantha Nall, Seth Hendrix, Joshua Scott, Titus Scott, Jacob Scott, David Stubblefield and Jon Stubblefield; 2 great grand Kenzie Scott and Isaiah Scott. Funeral services will be held on February 26, 2012 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. Ronny Stubblefield and Sean Neistraph will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Saturday and from 8am until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
