Jerry Stone Sr.

Jerry D. Stone Sr. 69 of Dixon, KY died at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN on Friday March 21, 2014. He was retired from Whirlpool in Evansville after 38 years of service. He was a lifelong member and deacon of Poole Missionary Baptist Church in Poole. He loved riding his 4-wheeler with his friends, and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Local #808 Union in Evansville. He loved his grandkids very much. He was preceded in death by his parents Rufus D. and Rheanell Stone; a daughter Angela Dennis, and 2 brothers Gary D. Stone and Johnny Stone. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Sharon Jenkins Stone of Dixon, KY; 1 daughter Tina M. Baxter of Owensboro, KY; 2 sons Jerry D. Stone Jr. of Henderson, KY and Chris M. Stone of Clay, KY; 1 sister Deanne Short of Robards, KY; 3 brothers Deloais Stone of Henderson, KY; Jackie Stone of Anthoston, KY and Barry Stone of Dixon, KY; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grand; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 2pm at the Poole Missionary Baptist Church in Poole. Rev. David Mabrey will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until service time at the church on Tuesday. Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon is in charge of arrangements.
