Jimmie Stinnett

Jimmie Stinnett, 77 of Dixon, KY died at Brighton Cornerstone Health Care in Madisonville, KY on Monday March 11, 2013. He was a member of the Dixon United Methodist Church in Dixon. He retired after 21 years with Kentucky Stone Company. He was a US Army Veteran, having served 19 ½ months in Europe, he was recalled for 10 months for the Berlin Crisis. He was stationed in Ft. Chaffee, ARK in the 100th Division of KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Jack Stinnett. Survivors include his longtime friend Virginia Porter of Dixon, KY; nieces and nephews, Valerie Willett, Susie Chapman, Chris Stinnett and Amy Saddler all of Henderson, KY and Lisa Byers of Evansville, IN and  great nieces and nephews, Jessica Willett, Katie Byers, Justin Givens and Tim Willett. Funeral services will be held at Townsend Funeral Home at 2 PM on Wednesday March 13, 2013. Rev. Selby Coomer and Rev. Wayne Nichols will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Visitation will be from 10AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Military Services will be held at the gravesite by the Hopkins County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S. Green St. Henderson, KY 42420.
