Jimmy Denton Sr.

Jimmy Denton Sr., 84 of Providence, KY passed away Sunday April 21, 2024. Jimmy was a carpenter for 50 years, who loved woodworking, his tractors, family gatherings, gospel singings and his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Verlie and Susie Denton. He is survived by 2 daughters Rhonda (Doyle) Wood of Manitou, KY and Sheri (Michael) Riddle of Providence, KY; 2 sons Jimmy Jr. (Patty) Denton of Manitou, KY and Johnie (Julie) Denton of Nebo, KY; 2 brothers Gene Denton and Walter (Mary Lou) Denton both of Sebree, KY; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and caregiver Nelda Farthing of Nebo, KY. Funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday April 24, 2024 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 11AM till service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Grove cemetery in Providence, KY with Bro. Sam Haulk officiating.
