Joyce Duncan

Joyce Duncan 88, of Dixon, KY passed away on Friday January 3rd, 2025 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, KY. She was a lifelong member of the New Cedar Grove General Baptist Church in Tilden, KY. Joyce loved her church and church family. She loved reading her bible, collecting antiques and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and loved being a Farmer’s wife. She owned and operated Duncan’s Grocery Store along side her husband Kenneth M. Duncan from 1961 until 1989. She was the daughter of the late Jesse B. and Vera Katherine Cavanaugh Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth M. Duncan, 3 sisters Virginia Lambert Richey, Jessie Mae Duncan and Mary Agnes Sigler and 2 brothers Aubrey Moore and Sterling Ray Moore. Survivors include 3 sons Randy(Kim) Duncan of Henderson, KY; Keith(Chiquita) Duncan of Henderson, KY and Greg(Tonia) Duncan of Dixon, KY; 6 grandchildren Cristy Duncan, Beth(Derrick) Sheets, Cody(Karah) Duncan, Chantz Duncan, Kaylee(Ben) Willis and Noah Duncan; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 9th, 2025 at 12pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Dwayne Wilson, Rev. Randy Duncan and Rev. Greg Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home and from 9am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
