James William “J.W.” Link 73, of Clay, KY passed away at his home on Saturday May 14, 2016. He was a coal miner and a farmer, he was also a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. He was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Link. Survivors include his wife of 51 years June Nally Link of Clay, KY; 1 daughter Nita Johnson and husband Keith of Slaughters, KY; 1 son Jimmy Ray Link and wife Traci of Roswell, Georgia; 2 sisters Judy Flewallen of Madisonville, KY and Carolyn Hancock of Beulah, KY; 2 brothers David Link of Henderson, KY and Ray Link of Dixon, KY; 6 grandchildren Reese Johnson, Emily Johnson, Matthew Link, Zack Link, Olivia Link and Sam Link; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Minister Gary Puryear and Rev. Laddie Pride will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Monday and from 8am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
