Mack Gibson

Mack Gibson 87 of Poole, KY passed away at his home on Wednesday February 27, 2019. He was a farmer for most of his life. He was a member of Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY, he taught Sunday School for over 60 years between Tilden General Baptist and Shady Grove, he served in the Brotherhood at both churches during his memberships. He was a 60 year member of the Sebree Masonic Lodge #538. He loved farming and helping repair old tractors, when he was 12 years old he rebuilt his first motor. One of the most important things for him was spending time with his family. He was the son of the late Omer and Nellie Gibson. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles Gibson. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Ovalene Gibson of Poole, KY; 1 daughter Karen Byrum(Randy) of Murfreesboro, TN; 2 sons Tommy Branson and Michael Branson(Wilma) both of Dixon, KY; 1 sister Sue Duckworth of Dixon, KY; 6 grandchildren Bryan Branson, Shelly Branson, Steve Render, Shauna Parker, Amanda Guzik and Laura Lilly; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 2, 2019 at 11AM at Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY. Rev. Dean Esarey and Rev. Ron Hampton will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday at the funeral home and from 9am until service time at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
