Nellie England

Mrs.  Nellie Wylene Duncan  England, 88,   went to be with the Lord on October 31,  2013 at the home of her daughter and son in law,  Faye and Larry  Melton,  of Dixon,  Ky.  Nellie  is  survived  by a second  daughter  Nancy  Hardman of Kennesaw, Ga., six grandchildren,  eight  great  grandchildren,   a  brother,  nieces,  nephews and  cousins.



She  was  preceded in death by her husband of 60  years,  Vaughn  R.   England,  Sr.,  her  son    V.   Richard   England,  Jr,  and  her  step mother  Alice  Duncan.




Nellie  was  born  on May  23,   1925,  the  youngest  of  nine  children  to  the  late  William  E.  and  Ara  Annie  Duncan  of  Cherokee  County,  Georgia.  She was a devoted   member of Mt.   Olivet  Baptist  Church  in  Acworth,  Georgia  for more  than  70  years.    Her  family  will  remember  her by  the  beautiful  quilts she made for all of them.




The  funeral service was held at Mt.  Olivet on Sunday,  Nov.  3  at  2:00 P.M.  The service was  conducted  by  Rev.  John   Darnell and   Rev.   Bobby  Therrell.   Her grandsons and great  grandsons  served as  pall   bearers.   Winkenhofer  Pine  Ridge Funeral  Home  of  Kennesaw,  Ga.   was in  charge of  arrangements.
