Otho Ray Link, 69 of Slaughters, KY passed away at his home Tuesday June 21, 2022. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. He was in the US Airforce for 20 years, he was stationed in Lackland AF Base in Texas, Keesler AF Base in Mississippi, Loring AF Base in Maine, Blytheville AF Base in Arkansas, Griffiss AF Base in New York, Fairchild AF Base in Washington and Alconbury RAF Base in England. After his military career he served as the Network Engineer for the Webster County Board of Education from 1995-2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Oather and Anna Mae Link; 1 sister Jettie Link and 2 brothers J. W. and Bobby W. Link. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gertie A. Link of Slaughters, KY; 1 daughter Sandra K (Steve) Howell of Arlington, Texas; 1 brother David Link of Henderson, KY; 2 sisters Judy Flewallen of Owensboro, KY and Carolyn Hancock of Beulah, KY; 1 grandson Stephen Tyler Howell of Los Angeles, California; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be 1 pm Monday June 27, 2022 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Kerry Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be Sunday June 26, 2022 from 4pm-8 and 8am till service time on Monday. Hopkins County Honor Guard will perform Military Rites at the cemetery.
