Peggy Shoulders

Peggy A. Bumpus Shoulders 84, of Henderson, KY passed away on Thursday December 8, 2016 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY. She was a Homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She loved crocheting Quilts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Joe F. Shoulders, a son and daughter in law Jimmie “Joe” and Reva Crowley Shoulders, one sister Betty June Chandler and one brother James Carroll Bumpus. Survivors include her 4 daughters Debra Priest of Henderson, KY; Linda Denton of Evansville, IN; Ronda Moats of Henderson, KY and Ruth McCully and her husband Mark of Sebree, KY; 1 sister Mildred Jean Sigler of Frankfort, KY and 3 brothers John Billy Bumpus of Charlotte, NC; Denny Lee Bumpus of Henderson, KY and Larry Ray Bumpus of Newburgh, IN; 7 grandchildren Scott Shoulders, Shauna Dunn, Paige Taylor, Tim Denton, April Broyles, Chris Dalton and Neil McCully; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday December 10, 2016 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev David Bumpus will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday and from 9am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mark McCully, Scott Shoulders, Neil McCully, Tim Denton, Chris Dalton and Shawn Dunn. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S.
