Rhonda Busby

Rhonda Gail (Bigers) Busby 55, of Robards, KY passed away on Saturday October 9, 2021 at Henderson Deaconess Hospital, surrounded by her family. Rhonda was a nurse at Methodist Hospital in Henderson for 20 years. She was an avid member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Henderson, KY where she tirelessly volunteered her services in the youth group for many years and she also was involved in Relay for Life. She was such a joy to many. A brave and strong woman and a force to be reckoned with. Her passion for family and love for her children and grandchildren were her life force. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 years, Billy G. Busby, and beloved mother, Patsy Ann Smith. She is survived by her beloved father Ronnie Bigers Sr. of Slaughters, KY; 2 daughters, Jennifer Harmon of Robards, KY and Trinity Smith (Tyler) of Little Dixie, KY; 1 son Billy Joe Busby of Owensboro, KY; 2 grandchildren, Cameron and Cali Embry of Robards, KY; 2 sisters Trish Russelburg (Carole) and Karen Hayes (Mike) both of Dixon, KY; 2 brothers Ronnie Bigers (Barbara) of Robards, KY and Donnie Bigers (Angie) of Corydon, KY; and Rhonda’s soulmate of 30 years, Laurie Spurlin, also survived by Eddy Russelburg (Tommie) of Reed, KY; Aunts and uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews whom she all loved very much. Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Busby, Kenneth Bigers, Jonathan Bigers, Nick Hayes, Jonathon Hancock and Brandon Embry. Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday October 14, 2021 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Pastor Mike Snyder will officiate with burial to follow at Busby-Denton Cemetery in Robards, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8 on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at the funeral home.
