Rick Main 76, of Dixon, KY passed away on Saturday February 22nd, 2025 in Henderson, KY. Rick was a deacon and member of the Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. His work took him all over the US and even Canada in his career in Nuclear Energy until his retirement in 2012. He played basketball in his college days at Victoria College, he loved watching UK basketball, fishing, golfing, and watching his sons and grandchildren play sports. He loved spending time with his family, his wife Linda always cared for him and never left his side. Rick was a US Army Veteran having served during Vietnam, he was a First Lieutenant, Airborne Ranger and Officer. He was also the US Army Advisor to the South Vietnamese people. He was the son of the late Homer Brown and June Arlene Powers Brown. He was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Schoenheit, 2 brothers Homer Brown Jr. and Homer ”Buster” Main. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Linda Main of Dixon, KY; 2 sons Scott(Stephanie) Main and David Main both of Dixon, KY; 3 sisters Nancy Brown of Henderson, KY; Jennifer Hart of Dixon, KY and Ruthie Winebarger of Providence, KY; 4 brothers Gary Don Brown of Evansville, IN; Chris Brown and Robert Brown both of Dixon, KY and Joe Brown of Providence, KY; 5 grandchildren Ashley(Mario) Fuentes, Zachary(Janelle)Main, Taylor(Elijah) Harper, Jacob(Kristen) Main and Kori Main(Hunter Monohan); 6 great grandchildren Kaylee, Kenleigh, Addyson, Weston, Logan and Bennett and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 27th, 2025 at 1pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Jarred Leet and Rev. Jerry Liggett will officiate. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, KY. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm on Wednesday and from 8am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
