Steven Lee Russell

Steven L. Russell 70, of Poole, KY passed away Wednesday November 27th, 2024 at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born June 16th, 1954 at Hopkins County Hospital to the late Barry ”Bear” Russell and Marilyn McGuyer Russell. He grew up working for and with his father and eventually co-owned Russell’s Service Center with his brother, the late David W. Russell. Steve had a passion for taking barn pics with his co-pilot, Toby. He was a Christian who loved the Lord, his family and his friends. He loved all kinds of music, playing his guitar and bass. He was preceded in death by a daughter Deon Prow, a brother David W. Russell, and a grandson Zack Prow. Survivors include his wife of 32 years Leesa Russell of Poole, KY; his daughter Falon Russell of Providence, KY; his sister Barrie(Harold) Wilkerson of Providence, KY; his sister-in-law Cheri Russell of Providence, KY; 3 grandchildren Zephan Crawford, Willa Russell and Indie Russell and 1 great-granddaughter Zoey Prow. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 30th, 2024 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Jody Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 10am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Rodney Richardson, Rick Guizio, Brad McKeehan, Jon Russell, Jon Wilkerson and Zephan Crawford.
