Sue Braden Townsend 87, of Dixon, KY passed away on Friday April 22, 2016 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. She was the Matriarch of Townsend Food Center in Dixon, KY. She was a member of the Providence Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband James Morris Townsend. Survivors include her daughter Maurie Ann Luecke and husband John of Newburgh, IN; 2 sons Mack Townsend and wife Teresa and Scott Townsend and wife Julie both of Dixon, KY; 5 grandchildren Shaun Townsend and wife Rachel, Kim and husband Mike Allen, Kari and husband Nathan Barrett, Katie and husband Jared Myers and Rebecca and husband Jeremy Lewis; 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday April 24, 2016 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Minister Chip Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY.
