Velvee B. Tapp 105, of Glasgow KY, formerly of Poole, KY, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday March 30, 2021. She was born on October 29, 1915 in Webster County, KY. She was a member of the Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY. She worked as a bank teller for many years, and was an avid bible scholar and had weekly bible study sessions at Poole Mill Restaurant in Poole, KY. She was the past president of the Women’s Club, having won the woman of the year award in 1993, she was also a member of the Tilden Homemakers. She is the daughter of the late Jeff and Verda Marks. She was preceded in death by 3 husband’s Henry Brogan of Dixon, KY, Luther Curlee of Clay, KY and Arnold Tapp of Poole, KY, 2 brothers Woodrow Marks(Blanche) and Harold Marks(Ruth), 1 sister Mildred Culbertson(Clarence), a daughter-in-law Betty Brogan, granddaughter Kimberly Ann Brogan and several nieces and nephews. Velvee moved to Glasgow, KY after her husband Arnold Tapp passed and lived with Bill and Betty Brogan for 12 years before moving to Barren Co. Nursing and Rehab for 2 ½ years. She is survived by her son Bill Brogan of Glasgow, KY; 1 step daughter Bonita Chandler(Tommy) of Providence, KY; 1 grandson Keith Brogan(Lisa) of Flower Mound, TX; one granddaughter Payton Brogan of Flower Mound, TX. Funeral services will be held at Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY on Saturday April 3, 2021 at 1pm. Rev. Dean Esarey will officiate. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay, KY. Visitation will be from 10am until service time at the church on Saturday. Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY is handling arrangements.
