Virginia Porter

Virginia E. Porter 90, of Mayfield, KY formerly of Dixon, KY passed away on Friday December 9th, 2022 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was a Homemaker and lifelong member of the Dixon United Methodist Church in Dixon, KY. She was a past member and president of the Dixon B&PW Club and a United Methodist Women’s member. She was preceded in death by her mother Lottie Herron Bumpus Townsend and her husband Hugh Porter. Survivors include her daughter Renee’(Dexter) Coomer of Mayfield, KY; her son Blake(Teresa) Porter of Slaughters, KY; 4 grandchildren Lauren Myers, Lucinda Bess, Whitney Cates and Wesley Coomer and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 13th, 2022 at 11am at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Jeff Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm on Monday and from 8am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
